The Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere 360 VR camera is their first entry into the consumer 360 camera market.  Xiaomi is fast becoming one of the bigger players in the mobile market.  The technology in and quality of their mobile phones have comes leap and bound the past few year and it's becoming a real competitors to the Samsung and Apple phones in the market.  So I'm really excited to see whether Xiaomi can take the lead in this relative new consumer 360 camera market.

Here's the specs for this camera:
 - Dual 16 megapixel 190 degrees fish eye camera
 - 24 megapixel 360 photos
 - 3.5k 360 videos (30fps @ 3456 x 1728 and 60fps @ 2304 x 1152)
 - Build in 6 axis electronic stabiliser
 - 1600mAH battery
 - Compatible with both iOS and Android (however the app does work better on Android)
Around $310 AUD on special at Gear Best atm…

Bottom line, the Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere is a very capable 360 cameras that I rank very highly.  I found myself drawn to use it more and more even with the other 360 cameras around.  Just this morning I got a notice on the Mi Sphere app telling me there's yet another firmware upgrade, which is great to see that they are constantly working on and improving their product

This is the first entry to the 360 consumer market from Xiaomi and I'm already excited to see their next version of this product line.  Let's hope they continue to improve on a very good base level consumer product and not follow others on the market in taking a step forward and a few step back.
