Simple 360 Photo Editing - Affinity Photos 360 Projection

With the new 360 editing tools made available in Photoshop CC 2018, I thought it's a good chance to remind everyone of the 360 editing tools available within Affinity Photo for over the past year. Looking at what and how Photoshop CC is implementing their 360 editing features, it look almost identical to what's on offer in Affinity Photo. For those who doesn't know or haven't tried out Affinity Photo, it is a fantastic alternative to Photoshop which have all the features that Photoshop has while maintaining a once off cost as oppose to the subscription model which Adobe have adopted. For those not a fan of the subscription model, Affinity Photo is definitely worth a look (in fact for Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer is worth a look irrespective of pricing). As good and handy the 360 tools in both Affinity Photo and Photoshop offer you, the biggest issue is that it require you to merge down any editing layers in order for the edits to be applied into the equirectangular image. For those who still prefer to have layers as a change control for their images or require a simple way of exporting out transparent layers of only their edit, the Polar Coordinate method of 360 editing is still probably my prefer method of editing 360 images over the 360 tools provided in Affinity Photo and Photoshop. Even though I have mentioned the Polar Coordinate editing methods in my previous videos, I'll make a separate video dedicating to this in the coming week. Hope this is useful for some of you and please leave me comments with any questions and please subscribe for more hints and tips in relations to 360 technology, editing and VR. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OUR GEAR: Samsung Gear360 (2107) - http://amzn.to/2i3azoi Samsung Gear360 (2016) - http://amzn.to/2wOghxH Xiaomi Mi Sphere - http://www.gearbest.com/action-camera...
